PS: ‘respect’ … I like the most. boring, I know. it’s why ‘respect’ is a dying art!

  3. The Sagittarian replied:

Oh I love that film!! It was one of the first “grown up” black and white movies that I saw. How odd is that!?

  4. Old Cheeser replied:

Is that a quote from the Felini film?

  5. matty03 replied:

Gina! Yes, respect is important — and equal rights/opportunities are even more so!!! …but, I’m afraid I sometimes grow weary of looking for/fighting for those things. If those close to me love me, I know I can count on them — and they on me. So, I shall still to words drafted by Fellini and go with “love”

speaking of which, love and kisses from GayTown,

Sagittarian! How cool that this would have been your first adult movie!!!!! I think that is great! You know, I only saw it for the first time last week! I really loved the second part of the “non-story” — I thought I counted 8 parts of the meandering film, but when I read up on it I guess it is supposed to contain 7 — 7 deadly sins. I can’t figure that out exactly. I’m always surprised to discover that Fellini was so moralistic in his work — when, at the same time he can be so exploitive. Interesting artiste!

Cool Old Cheeser! Yes! That is a direct quote from the Fellini film! You MUST see it!!!

  8. ing replied:

Which film is this from? Which film? Which!?!

  9. The Sagittarian replied:

La Dolce Vita. And yes, Matty it was very meandering. You know what? I think I’ll dig it out again and watch it…some films get better as you get older and you know more and things take on different meanings. Yes. I will. Thanks buddy, you have given this “Tired of Winter Hag” somthing to look forward to!! 🙂

Ing! LA DOLCE VITA!!!! …I think that translates to the sweet life, but I’m not sure! You MUST see it!!!

Sagittarian! Isn’t it fun to look back at movies you saw when you were a kid?!?!? I’d be curious to know what you think of it today! I was really surprised at how “current” is is for a film made in, what, 1959/1960.
