OUR NEW NEIGHBORHOOD!!!

Well, we are here! As per usual, moves are always more difficult than expects! We love our building, the apartment and neighbors! Little Bagel seems to be adjusting just fine and has even made a new pal who goes by the name Minx! We’re probably another weekend away before the place is fully operational but the essentials are finally set up. Here is a shot of our building …I’ll take a better one later! And, here are a few shots of my favorite place to walk. Just a few blocks away!

It is so very nice to be back in San Francisco and to the ocean where I belong!!!!

Wow, your building looks really cool! Much nicer than the last place, I think. I hope Bagel doesn’t teach Minx to be unladylike.

  2. Old Cheeser replied:

Wow!! Congratulations on your move and I must say your new home looks lovely (well on the outside – lol). Actually it’s funny as it reminds me a bit of Brighton (South East English coastal town and gay mecca). Glad to hear that everything is going well anyway – no more living in da Oakland hood eh?

The beach shots are gorgeous too – gawd I’m jealous – time to take out mortgage number two in San Fran!

  3. Pants replied:

Yay! I’m so happy you’re back in SF…thou I’m a little jealous. πŸ™‚ I can’t believe you are so close to the ocean – awesome!!

  4. Walter Briski, Jr. replied:

i am sooooo happy for you. it does look like something from ‘tales of the city’ and i love your building.
never mind the sutro, as your front yard.

    i’m tired.

    workaday.

    see you soon!

yay that looks terrific!!! Fabulous!!! congrats on the move!

  7. javabear replied:

How lovely! Congratulations. And so close to the ocean! I’m happy for you.

  8. matty03 replied:

Ing! Yesssss! This building, the neighborhood, the neighbors and lack of vice on the streets is so much nicer!!! AND, no train noises all night to drive me to distraction! …and, well, Little Bagel already has a rep for being quite the pushy bottom in the building! lol! …Let’s face it — she is a girl after our own hearts! Poor baby ate something bad today and has been sick all day, but I took for a nice sea breeze walk which I think she enjoyed!

Cool Old Cheeser! Oh, I’d LOVE to live anywhere in England! It calls to me from across the pond! The ocean views are awesome! No more Oakland for me!!!

Pants! Thanks! We’re ever so happy to be back in The City as well! Don’t be jealous — just get back to the Bay Area! It misses you!!!

  9. matty03 replied:

Walter! LOL! It actually IS a bit like Tales of the City here! Funny, that! Being so close to that area of the beach is such a major selling point for me! love and kisses, matty

Gina! I know! We’ve our fingers crossed that we will not be moving again anytime soon, but one must go with the flow I guess! Wow! I WILL actually be seeing you soon! So cool!!!! Can’t wait!

Hot Lunch! Thanks! Big kiss from the beach!

Java! Thank you! Sending you a big hug from SF!

  10. The Sagittarian replied:

Congratulations on the move, its amazing how much of a difference it can make just being somehwre “else”. That beach is awesome, we live about 15 minutes away from the beach but the wind is usually a cold easterly so we don’t go very often in the winter (which it is now, it SNOWED at my house at the weekend). Good that wee Miss Bagel has a friend too.

  11. ing replied:

Oy, Matty, I at a tomato and I think I have salmonella.

  12. Steve Rebooted replied:

Wow! That’s beautiful! Congrads. And yes, I’m jealous!

  13. matty03 replied:

The Sagittarian! Wow! Snow! …i don’t miss snow so much. …except at xmas time.

Ing! Well, it’s a good thing I don’t eat veggies! Wait, is a tomato a veggie or a root? Matters not — I don’t eat em unless in soup form.

  14. ing replied:

Oranges are not the only fruit, Matty. Tomatoes are fruits, too. Yummy, chock-full of vitamin C and salmonella. . .

  15. matty03 replied:

Yes, but from what fruit comes the passion of Diet Coke?

  16. The Sagittarian replied:

I saw a film once called “Oranges are not the only fruit”.

  17. ing replied:

Which is based on a book by Jeanette Winterson! Whee!

I think the passion of Diet Coke comes from mixing passion fruit and diet cocaine and aspertame. Right? I think it’s much worse for you than tomatoes, too.

  18. anita replied:

Yeah! I love the look of the building and I know how much it means to you to have access to the beach and San Fran (plus be away from the Hood and the Trains! So glad for you. Love the bay windows and cool colors. Pics of the beach make me wish I was there walking with you and Bagel. Guess you may have to get her a muzzle and only let her out to eat what you want her to have. LOL Noooo, she would hate that.
    Love, Anita

  19. ing replied:

The muzzle would look so nice with that leather corset, though. . .

    Matty! I got a raise!

  20. matty replied:

Ing! Muzzles always look nice with leather gear!

Oh, you see? …I keep telling you that you’re the rock diva of publicists! Congrats, baby!

  21. Old Cheeser replied:

Come on now, Mr Stanfield, I’m eagerly awaiting your Top 10 albums!! Where is your list, pray?!!

Okay. I should cut you a little slack. You have just moved house after all. And I for one know that can be a time-consuming process. I just hope you didn’t have any mishaps en route to your new pad like Babs and Ryan O’ Neil “What’s Up Doc”, colliding with a chinese dragon and wreaking havoc all over San Fran! Actually I think that you, B and Bagel should star in a 2000s remake of that movie, it would be fab! With you as Babs, naturally, Matty.

Anyway. I strongly suspect your album list will consist of Babs, Babs, Goldfrapp and Babs. Am I wrong?

  22. pakipoptart replied:

I think this is going to be great for you! I am so excited for you!

  23. joph replied:

de Contessa de Minx wants to welcome you and Bagel and B to the neighborhood. oh as do I.

  24. johnNokc replied:

Am I missing out on something?

Oh, and I promise not to slit my wrists since you removed me from your blogroll πŸ˜‰

  26. Dawn Davenport replied:

Would someone please just drop a line here to tell me that Matt is okay please?

  27. Lubin replied:

    It looks beautiful,

but post somethign Matty and let us know you’re OK.

  28. ginab replied:

Thank you for taking me and Ing to your favorite place to walk. Outside of the woman’s butt crack, looking over the wall at the Roman baths, at the soap on a rope the quake had left behind, and at the shoreline where bagel likes to romp, was the neatest gift. You do enjoy nature.

Thank Byron for taking us across the bridge.

Make sure Minx doesn’t bully Bagel because she does!

Loved your apartment. What a grand building, and your pal J can decorate!

Thank you and B for showing me so much. You’re a sweetheart.

    Now, CHANGE YOUR BLOG POST!

    New post, Matty!

Thanks for whisking me off to Amoeba on Saturday. You should SEE all the hot men in my new neighborhood. I did yoga tonight across from a guy with the most amazing legs – wow! They’re everywhere. I made up an excuse to go to the hardware store, and then down to the natural food market.

    Post something!

  30. Old Cheeser replied:

Yes, where are you Mister? We’re all getting paranoid android!!

Sincerely hope you’re okay. It’s probably all the moving in stuff that’s occupying your time, eh? Been there, done that!
