As I stumbled around I began to think about connections. And, my failure to do so as of late. I have become disconnected. I have retreated. I guess I need to for now. I zip up my jacket, I smile and I joke. …But, eyes can usually give you away. One just has to look.

If it helps, or makes any difference, you have my permission to disconnect from that kind of strife. Must you defend, or can you shrug it off this time? Zip up your jacket, cover your head, do what you need to do to take care of Matty right now. The world will still be here when you are ready to take it on.
    I love you!

matty, let’s change the subject, shall we? yes, I just aimed for humour. I think many of us can say we know what you mean, but really what does that matter? matty, go and retreat and take the time you need. just take a few of us along with you too, and come back when you’re ready, or about to be ready. sometimes we may never when we’re ready too. love you!!! kisses from Canada!

You think I’m fat, don’t you?

LOL, that’s how I handle things I can’t talk about. I throw in something that has nothing to do with what’s being talked about; and get really dramatic about my question. Then say something like, “Oh, nevermind, I haven’t had my coffee today.” Then I walk away, usually with the person feeling really perplexed. Better they than me.

It’s easier (we think) for everyone else when we joke around as though pain hasn’t touched us. But if we don’t allow ourselves to slide way down deep into the pain and get angry, irritable, and sad, we can’t come out the other side healed. ALSO, we have to allow people to step up and step because they can and they will and they need to know that someone might do that for them, too.

    I got it all wrong.

As the title of the post reads: scrambled thoughts.

Anyway, I’m sorry. I meant to write one thing but somehow wrote another. So, I’ve actually deleted nearly all of the original text.

Thank you for the sweet comments!
