FANTASY ME

Well, 2007 is close to an end.

I feel that one of the most important things with which to close the year is my Magical Eyes Of Laura Mars sno-globe!

It knows all.
…nothing says late 70’s fashion like over-turned cars in Washington Square with models beating each other up while wearing fur and panties! Anyway, just ask your question, shake the sno-globe and the kinky Faye Dunaway disco fashion knowledge will guide you! Everyone should have one. It has already advised Ing on her dating life!

But, and perhaps this is the most important thing — a friend in NYC, Mr. W — created 3 Avatars for me! They don’t really look like me as much as they feel like me.

..they are the fantasy me in Avatar form! Tho, I guess that is what an “Avatar” is ?!?!? I only wear flare-led’d jeans, but the rest of the outfits are close. And, I do like the shoes and Bagel looks really cute, tho a bit too big.
However, I’ve not worn a scarf since I left Boston. And, I can only wish I had that much hair. But, it is a fantasy. Oh, and, for now — I’m sporting a beard! Full-on beard, babies! I think it is coming off tomorrow morning.

It is neat-O having someone create an Avatar of you! Sort of like having someone write a song or poem about you. …Only not.

And, finally, what better way to bring a close to 2007 than to share a new picture of our baby girl, Bagel. Here she is chillin’ on her electrically heated pad which she loves on a cold day! I woke her from a nap for this shot, but she was too damn cute to allow her to sleep!

Let’s hope 2008 brings us all more hope, love and peace. I think it can only get better! …Or, at least this is my hope! I just shook the Magical Laura Mars Sno-Globe and it gave me a rather uncertain answer, but I’m ignoring it. I am forging into 2008 with the best attitude I can muster! It’s what Laura Mars would do! …Oh, by the way, this is the appropriate pose one should always strike when taking a photograph. Please adopt this approach as you go forward with your photographing adventures. Already, this is how me, Ing and Miss S take our pictures! The results are just amazing!

Happy New Year, Kids!

Love the Avatars! I wear a scarf all winter (except while swimming, which would be a greater feat than spreading my legs akimber to shoot an image).

We learn as we go I suppose.

I’ve heard from Ing and S as they were leaving the Castro for the Mission. Ing will need to borrow Bagels heating pad, according to the sore throat and aching lungs I heard scratching through the phone. Send her broth!

Happy New Year to you, Byron and Bagel! We’ll meet for real this year!!

Gina! Yes! I used to wear a scarf all the time. However, wearing one when swimming could be a potential issue on so many levels! Best to not, I think!

Oh, that Miss S and Ing! Always up to no good!

I shall try to call and check on her later! The sun is just now rising. It is 2008! And, I have hope for a better year! I do!

That Laura Mars sno-globe should be re-issued, and Matty, you need to be in charge of marketing. It’s what we need to assure safe passage through 2008. Obviously.

If I struck that pose to take a photograph, many interesting and uncomfortable things would happen. I’d not be able to straighten out that bent leg again, I’d fall over, the photograph wouldn’t turn out like I intended. And I may never be able to get back up. Think I’ll stick to my current method of photography, thankyouverymuch. 🙂

Java! Yes, the world would be a much better place if there were more Eyes of Laura Mars Sno-Globes to go ’round. Sadly, I do believe I’ve the only one! And, it is magical!

PR-ING 2008 will be quite hard!

Oh, come on! With a bit of practice everyone can do the Laura Mars photo taking pose! It really does make for the best pictures! Really!

  5. ing replied:

You’re so right about the picture-taking pose. Ever since I’ve started using it, my photographs have been so high-fashion! The pose also works when I’m playing pool; I get up on the table and stick out my leg. I’ve been winning so much money!

Please please tell me you’ve already made your Mrs. Palfrey sno-globe. I need to ask it a question!

  6. matty03 replied:

Ing! We have to spread the word! People need to learn to take better pictures — and, hey! – if you can up your pool score at the same time — Well — why not?!!?!? Family pictures are even better when they have a bit of edge-fashion incorporated!

Um, Ing. No, I’ve not yet secured a MRS PALFREY AT THE CLAREMONT Sno-Globe. But, if and when I do — it would never answer a question. Mrs. Palfrey asks the questions and I don’t think she’d care much for being shaken. …she could take a tumble. And, that would not be a good thing.

I just shook my Laura Mars sno-globe and asked it who hasn’t had a ride in someone’s new car and it said something like “Maaaaaaaaaaat” …then, it faded away and I couldn’t quite make out the full name. I’m trying to figure out who that could be.

Oh, wait. Do you have a new car?!?!!? Hmmmmmm…

    kisses,
    matty

    cute puppy, happy new year!

  8. matty03 replied:

Brian! Thanks! We think she’s pretty cute! Happy New Year to you!!!

  9. Old Cheeser replied:

A belated Happy New Year to you too, Matty!! And to B and Bagel.

Love the kitsch “Laura Mars” snowglobe. Where DO you find these things?!

Miss Dunaway was reputed to be an out-and-out bitch though wasn’t she?

  10. matty03 replied:

Cool Old Cheeser! And, a Happy New Year to you! We’re enjoying some lovely weather but I hear storms are on the horizon for northern california and gaytown! Oh, dear!

I’m proud to say that the Spirits of Fashion guided me and I made my Laura Mars Sno-Globe! Yes, the powers of 70’s Kink’d Fashion created the globe using my own gay hands!

Anyway, I just shook it and was advised that “It is quite a good thing to be a bitch if you have the legs, heels, hair and Nikon camera to back it up. Ms. Dunaway had all of these and more! And, yet, she was and remains a prisoner captured by eyes. Yes, she’s been taken by surprise — which must explain that surprised look which seems to be stuck on her porcelain face these days, but the bitch spirit of Laura Mars lives on. Embrace it Mr. Old Cheeser!” …well, that is what it said. I’m a bit tired after that. Need a lie down.

…Like Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont I seem to have taken a tumble.

  11. deveil replied:

Happy New Years! Wow I havn’t seen that movie in a while, i’ll have to go rent it or buy it.

  12. matty03 replied:

Deveil! Happy New Years to you!!! Yes, you most definitely should spend some quality time in The Eyes of Laura Mars. …One never knows what might happen! LOL!

  13. ing replied:

Hello, bebe! Tomorrow is Friday and I’ve called in sick. Nobody may see me like this! Please do not forget what is coming up at the Red Vic. Mr. Lynch. Neither rain nor sleet nor snow nor bronchitis. . . Please tell Alan.

  14. matty03 replied:

Ing-y! Stay warm, drink lots of hot tea with lemon and feel better! Oh, and pull down the shades. …I know, as well as the Laura Mars Sno-Globe that you must look perfect at all times — just pull the shades and the covers, but keep those high heels on!

…You know I’m currently a space cadet with zero points. I’ve forgotten what you’re talking about. Red Vic? David Lynch?!!? Send me email please.

Ms. Mars would like to know if you’ve contacted Mr. A as she instructed as you never answered my email communications as you were wrapped up in New Year’s Mission Festivities!

    love,
    matty

  15. hot-lunch replied:

Crap, I think I just sprained something. I was trying to take a photo for you when…

    anyways, Happy New Year!!!

  16. matty03 replied:

Hot Lunch! Oh, dear! Speedy recovery and a very happy new year to you! You really should practice the stance/pose before putting it into practice. I suspect it was the high heel shoes and the ice!
