…one of the best bad movies of all time!

Well, that’s when his head really started to ache

“I’m God,”
she said.
“Now, what can I do ya?”
Her voice both warm and shril.

Fighting the urge for redemption,
Bob placed his order.

“Would ya care for fries or a baked spud?”

Longing for starches,
Bob mumured, “Both.”

“That’ll cost ya extra, but it can be done,”
God replied with a smile.

“And, if isn’t too much trouble, please make my steak
for he liked the taste of blood.

“And to drink?”

“I’ll have a Coke,” Bob answered.

The angel at the grill heaved a heavy sigh.

God blushed, swallowed her pride and asked
“Is Pepsi OK?”

Taylor, Burton, and Tennessee Williams — yeah!!!

Are you writing a play, Matt? Neat!

  2. ginab replied:

What’s with Williams here and why doesn’t he mention Boom! in his Memoir?

Ten is my fantasy uncle and otherwise he is a portion of my soul.

  3. matt replied:

ing – no play. i can barely write sentences! LOL!

ginab — wow. never thought of that, but he would be a great uncle!

BOOM is one of the worst films ever made! A must see! It is John Waters favorite film and he frequently screens it when he plays host at film fests. I think it came about becasue Liz and Burt wanted to leave the country during the height of the Manson scare as they had made The Manson Family Hit List. Anyway, Liz asked Mr. Williams to write them a movie so he “re-imagined” one of his seldom seen plays. i wish it had been filmed exactly as written — Ten had written that Liz and Burt were to stop after each line, turn to the camera and belt out, “Boom!” — but, alas, only Burt does this — and only a couple of times. Katherine Hepburn was to play the evil Witch of Capri, but she pulled out of ‘the project’ after reading the script. In a moment of divine inspiration Liz asked Noel Coward to step in. …in a further moment of true inspiration Ten opted to not change a thing so Mr. Coward played the role of the witch exactly as it had been written for Ms. Hepburn — no pronouns were changed.

    …a true must see! BOOM!

    Hiya, Matt!

We sell the John Waters Xmas CD at Phoenix Books. I bought a copy for me Ma. Among others, it features Tiny Tim.

Have you heard The Family Jams? I played it at work once.

Wish I could see Saturday Night Fever on New Years Day, but yo, I gotta work. Back in the day I had a Huge crush on Andy Gibb, though these days I’m all about Barry (I mean, seventies Barry).

I’m going salsa dancing after work. What shall I wear?

  5. ing replied:

    Oh, and p.s.:

My friend ginab is the biggest Tennessee Williams fan ever! Wasn’t Night of the Iguana great? If I was an actress, I’d LOVE to play Judith Fellowes.

  6. matt replied:

ing — Oh my! A John Waters Christmas CD?!?!?? I must have it!! I must!

…and I will be checking out The Family Jams!

It would be cool to meet you sometime! I shall stroll aroung the many cool book stores in the city and find you one of these days! You seem to be a most cool and positive person!!!

I hope you wore something tight and hot for your salsa adventure!

yeah, wasn’t andy gibb perfect! barry was hot in his time but I am frightened at how he aged. the cover to that new cd with babs makes me cinge for them both!

Night was an aweome play and movie — tho, I think my personal fave is Suddenly Last Summer! Liz rocks in the film version of that! Gotta love that swim suit!!!!
